Italy – Cardinale Zen to take part in a Seminar organised by the UPS
(ANS – Rome: 27 February 2020)  - On Thursday 1 March, Cardinal Joseph Zen, bishop of Hong Kong, will take part in a Seminar “The preventive system of Don Bosco – in history and the challenges of today”, organised by the Salesian Pontifical University in Rome. With this event the UPS wants to celebrate the – somewhat delayed –feast of Don Bosco and in this way to offer the students, who on 31 January were involved in the winter session of examinations, the opportunity to celebrate the saint of the young. Involved in the Seminar will be Prof. Fr Carlo Nanni and Prof. Fr Aldo Girando who will respectively speak about “Putting the preventive system into practice again today – on what conditions?” and “The importance in education of affective communication.” In the second part of the morning, in the parish church of Our Lady of Wisdom, Cardinal Zen will preside at a concelebrated mass with the whole academic community of the UPS. Before the Mass, the students of the UPS will welcome the Pilgrimage Cross which in these days of Lent is visiting the Pontifical Universities of Rome in preparation for the Marian Vigil which will be held on 10 March, the V European Day for University Students, in the presence of the Pope.
